When adding articles to our website we associate each article with a list of keywords. The words you type into the search form below are then compared to this list. This is done using ‘string compare’. This means that the letters in your "word" are compared to the letters in our words and if a match is found a link to the article is added to your list. For instance: If you use the word ace then articles with a, c and e consecutivly will be given e.g. spacer and contraceptive. On the plus side, by not using full word match, partial words can be used e.g. oesteo would return links for osteoporotic, osteoporosis, osteoarthritis etc, and for those long medical terms you need only type the first few letters to find what you're looking for. We do monitor and update our keyword lists, so over time this search function should get even better.
